Propelled by WILSN’s unparalleled vocals, and honeyed by her infallible tone, ‘Me or Her’ details the empowering decision to put yourself on the line and discard all “hesitation”, declaring “it’s me or her”. Accompanying the release, the official video for the single comes in the form of a compelling live rendition, filmed at her friend’s record store, Dutch Vinyl in Abbotsford and shot by director Triana Hernandez (Mia Wray, RVG, Gordi). As WILSN picks up the microphone, her band keeping a steady groove, and she begins to sing the slinky opening lines, it is hard to believe what you’re hearing is recorded completely live. The clip showcasing the control WILSN yields over not just her vocals, but also her audience – an absolutely perfect way to initiate the unfamiliar into the world of WILSN.
